Vein Care & Insurance Coverage

Most of them cover vein procedures if the patient has symptoms of vein disease such as pain, swelling, heaviness, cramping or restless legs. Most insurances prefer a patient to have a history of trying compression stockings for at least 6 to 12 weeks. We will discuss all of these details with you on your visit. Each new patient will be able to discuss the terms of their specific policy. Many insurance policies now dictate the order in which vein procedures can be performed. Our specialists will discuss the requirements of your specific insurance policy with you. Your treatment plan will be designed in accordance with your specific policy's requirements. Most PPOs and Medicare do not need any referral. However, HMOs will require a referral to us from your primary care physician.
