POST-PROCEDURE INSTRUCTIONS
Elan Support Stockings/ Ace wrap
Step 1 - Walk for 30 minutes on the day of your procedure.
Step 2 - Leave the stocking on along with the rest of the wrapping for 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove the stocking and the underlying wrapping. Please shower at this time. After showering, please put the stocking back on.
Step 3 - Continue to wear the stocking for 7 days. Try not to remove the stocking except for when you shower. The more you wear the stocking the better the outcome.
When can I take off the stocking or Ace wrap?
You may stop wearing the stocking 7 days after your procedure. If during the 7 days after your procedure the stocking causes irritation on your skin, then stop using it and call our office (see instructions below).

Your stocking is made from a special fabric. To avoid damage, before putting on the stocking, remove any jewelry on your hands or feet as they may cause a hole or snag.

- Putting the stocking on: Place the stocking on your foot and gently work it over the heel. Gently pull the stocking up your leg. DO NOT pull hard or tug as this can cause a hole or run in the fabric. Smooth out wrinkles or folds to prevent skin irritation.
- Rubber kitchen gloves can help you grip the stocking at the fingertips if you have trouble pulling it up your leg.

- Taking the stocking off: Gently roll the stocking down the leg to the heel. Slide if off and around the ankle and foot.
- Washing: Hand wash the stocking with mild soap and hang to air dry.
